Our Daily Routine With Yumi

How we use Yumi Tracker every day to keep tabs on a cat with kidney disease.

Here’s what a typical day looks like for us.

Morning

Weigh the bowl before putting food down. Open the app, log the weight. Takes about ten seconds.

A couple of hours later, check how much she ate. Update the entry. If she barely touched it, we know early in the day.

During the day

Whoever is home keeps an eye on the litter box. Each visit gets logged with a quick tap. Nothing fancy, just a record that it happened.

If she drinks noticeably more or less water than usual, we note that too.

Evening

Medication time. Log it so the other person knows it’s done. Check the daily view to see the full picture: how much she ate, how many litter visits, whether the medication was given.

Why this works

It’s not about being precise. It’s about having a shared record that both of us can check. Before this, we’d text each other “did she eat?” or try to remember at the end of the day. Now we just open the app.

The routine sticks because it’s fast. If it took more than a few seconds per entry, we’d stop doing it.
